Extreme Ultralight Handguard (blowback)
The New TACCOM Extreme Carbon Fiber Hand Guard was designed for the new barrels that utilize the short barrel/long brake design, while still being able to be used with any other 16” barrel on the market today.
Our hand guard comes with a black blast shield that can be installed to shield your support hand from the gases that come out from the brake, or in the case of the ULW barrel or standard 16” barrel, be left off to decrease the overall weight of the hand guard.
The aluminum barrel nut is installed with a standard adjustable crescent wrench and the carbon fiber is orientated to either have the large ports up to allow brake gas to escape or to allow the Mlock slots to be at 12, 3, 6 and 9 so that you can attach rail sections for iron sights, lasers. This aluminum nut is now 2” long has an incredible fit to the carbon fiber tube so it will not wobble, and is held together with 4 screws making for a very stable hand guard that will take the use and abuse of competition.

Overall I really like it and it’s super light weight. My two grips would be, CF could be a few 2-4mm thicker for more rigidity and less flex, and the blast shield could come with 4 screws/locks for aesthetics.

I own 2 of these and love them both. All the slots really make it easy to index my support hand in the same place without needing an added appliance. I am not using the handguard but I did get the MLOK grip tape that Taccom offers. For me I feel the guard is plenty rigid and these are perfect for my lightweight Steel Challenge builds.
